New guidelines have recently been published on the management of patients with Metastatic Bone Disease and builds on the recommendations from the previous (2001) version.
They represent a consensus statement from the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society and are endorsed by the British Association of Surgical Oncology. Recommendations are made as to best practice standards of care.
It is hoped that this updated guide will inform Surgeons, Oncologists, Trusts and Clinical Commissioners and further improve the care of patients with bone metastases.
